We have so much to look forward to this month with new pez being released. The Sweets and Snacks Expo is coming up so we can get more information about pez coming out the rest of the year and in 2022, and there is lots of convention news! It is starting to feel like life is getting back to "normal" as the weather warms, vaccinated people are beginning to get out and about more, and things that have been cancelled or closed are beginning to open up again. We can't wait to see all of you again and to share the newest news about pez!
The European Tom and Jerry pez are playing cat and mouse games in the Pez Collectors Store! They were both due for a makeover since it has been nearly 30 years since the last release! They look younger than ever! This pair is available now in the Pez Collectors Store.
The 2021 European Disney Cars 3 pez set includes Lightning McQueen with the original Rusteze logo on the hood, Fabulous Lightning McQueen as a blue car with the newer Rusteze logo, and Jackson Storm. These three new Disney Cars dispensers make a great addition to the Disney Cars and Disney Cars 2 variations!
A bit late, but still welcome is the European Easter Lamb on a yellow stem. The lamb is the Lamb E version with blue eyes and a blue kerchief from the 2017 mold. It is in stock now in the Pez Collectors Store!
A new Cherry Mascot pez was just released as an pez exclusive. This mascot joins the yellow lemon mascot, the pink strawberry mascot, the orange mascot, and the white mystery flavor mascot. Also from the same mold were the Oktoberfest boy and girl, Hans and Resi. We have a few of these in stock now in the Pez Collectors Store!
The USA Father’s Day pez is a colorless crystal ball and it says Super Dad on the ball. The fun comic superhero graphics let Dad know he's your hero! These were limited to 2 per customer, available only through the USA pez website, and they sold out extremely quickly! We have only a few of these in stock in the Pez Collectors Store!
The European Exclusive Father’s Day Mustache pez is printed with Superdad on the stem and a mustache printed on a colorless crystal ball. These are on their way from Europe and should be arriving any time! They were sold only online through the European pez website and were limited to 20 per customer. They sold out quickly. We will have a few in stock in the Pez Collectors Store, hopefully within a week or so.
We also have a few Mother’s Day Pez on the way to us from Europe for anyone who missed out on them. We will only have a few of these available, but they should be arriving within a week or so.
Space Jam pez Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird and LeBron James are the newest release from Pez USA. They are scheduled to begin shipping June 1. It has been over 20 years since new Tweety and Bugs Bunny pez versions were released in the USA. Europe has had several different dispensers that were never released in the USA, so it is nice to finally get and update to Tweety and Bugs Bunny and the addition of LeBron James is a real treat for basketball fans and pez collectors alike! Our order has been in place for a long time and we expect them to be arriving very soon!
Space Jam Pez Twin Packs with Bugs Bunny and LeBron James are also scheduled to begin shipping June 1 and we expect our order to arrive within a week or so. We expect the dispensers to be the same as in the regular assortment – they will just come in the Space Jam graphic twin pack box!
A tiny lemon yellow mascot pez on card has been added to a Zuru Surprise Mini Capsule (series 3). It joins the previously released mini Love emoji dispensers that came as regular and metallic gold, and a mini pack of pez candies. Thanks to Pez Ghosty and Pezpalz.blogspot for sharing this information and image! For perspective, that is a thumbnail next to the candy packs! The search begins now!
We are looking forward to the shipment of the new Harry Potter and Hermione Mini Pez Dispenser Back Pack Clips – 2 Pack, scheduled for release July 1. These cute mini dispensers have a clip to attach to a purse, a back pack or belt loop and they come with 6 rolls of mystery flavor pez candy! Mini Mickey and mini Minnie backpack clips 2 packs will be coming in September, so we will have more of these to look forward to in the future!
Halloween pez begin shipping July 1 and the new addition for this year is the new Vampire. He is no longer the sweet Baby Vampire though he is the same mold. He is not quite so old and wrinkled as the Daddy Vampire and he has that ornery look of a teenage, so we are calling him the Teenage Vampire! We will wait a little while before having our order shipped, otherwise we will end up with only the leftovers from last year and no new Vampires. We will have them in stock long before Halloween – its early still!
The Sweets and Snacks Expo is coming up this month. We are looking forward to attending, then sharing information about all the new releases on display at the Sweets and Snacks expo in the next newsletter! We are expecting a stem printed Cherry Pez Mascot to be the giveaway dispenser at the Pez Booth, assuming they stay true to form. These are usually limited to one per visitor at the PEZ booth at the Expo, so we won’t likely have any available for sale. The purpose of these dispensers is as an enticement for candy buyers to place orders for upcoming pez and they really are not intended for or as a slight to the pez collectors.
As more people get vaccinated and the temperatures begin to warm up, the convention season is also heating up. Hosts are getting ready and collectors are excited to get together once again! The Pez Collectors Store is also getting ready – trying to decide what to bring is going to be a challenge! We will load the trailer and take to the road this summer and look forward to seeing you all at a convention soon!
The next scheduled convention in the USA is Pezamania 30ish - July 22 – 24, 2021. Cleveland is a great city to visit and if you have never attended a convention before, this one is the largest! There are lots of rooms open for room hopping, kids games, seminars, charity auction events, an evening of games, the announcement of the Pez Head of the Year (PHOTY), and of course, a ballroom filled with pez for the show on Saturday. Please be sure to get registered and book a room at the hotel ASAP as things are filling up quickly! The 8th annual Pez On the River is September 9 – 11. While this convention is generally smaller, it offers an opportunity to really visit with friends and fellow collectors. POTR still has all the same fun and excitement of room hopping, games, seminars, charity auctions and a show on Saturday, all done with a unique twist that only hosts Sandy and Cheryl Gardner-Ghionzoli can pull off! Here is a little game for you all. The concept of the game was started by Justin VanderSluis and other pez collectors, and people in pez groups on facebook have been playing with different pictures of pez.
The 6 pez pictured below represent 6 different song titles, and the photo as a whole represents a 7th song title, all by my favorite artist. See if you can identify my favorite artist, the title of the songs from left to right, then back to front, and finally the title of the song represented by the entire group.
