This month there have been several new pez arrivals, and there are more new pez on their way for August, plus lots to look forward to in September! Pez conventions took off again with Pezamania 30ish which had record attendance with the registrations selling out. It was wonderful to reunite with pez friends and the newest Pez Head of the Year was announced. There is always something new happening with Pez!
Paw Patrol Crystal Pez arrived and the set with Crystal face Chase, Skye, Marshall and Rubble look great! The faces are crystal and the hats and other features of the head are opaque. These make a fun addition to the Paw Patrol assortment of pez! These are available mint in bag with pez candies or loose for those who prefer to save on shipping!
Paw Patrol Crystal Twin Packs shipping from Pez Candy have been delayed from the original anticipated ship date of July 1, and we hope to have them in stock soon, but the shipping date from Pez Co. is still to be determined!
The European Father’s Day pez with a mustache on a clear, colorless crystal ball and the European Mother’s Day Best Mom Ever Pez arrived from Europe. We have a few of these left in the Pez Collectors Store.
The PAMP Suisse Chillin’ Emoji with Silver Pez Candies is the Summer 2021 Edition of the limited edition 30gram Silver Pez collectors sets. The Chillin’ emoji joins the Easter 2021 Full Body Chick, the Gingerbread Man from Christmas 2020, the Ducky Pez from Summer 2020 and the Snowman Pez from Christmas 2019. We still have a few of these in stock in the Pez Collectors Store.
We have more of the Space Jam Pez Twin Packs back in stock now. The twin pack includes LeBron James and Bugs Bunny. Of course, we also have the full Space Jam assortment with LeBron James, Bugs Bunny and Tweety in stock as well!
We have a few Dragon Fruit Mascot Pez in stock in the Pez Collectors Store. This pez exclusive limited edition of 3000 made for the USA sold out quickly on the pez website. It is a fun addition to the Pez Candy brick mascot line!
The Harry Potter mini Pez Backpack Clips are now expected to begin shipping from Pez Candy approximately August 9. We hope to have them in stock by the middle of August!
The ‘Teenage’ Vampire Pez will be included in the Halloween Pez Assortment. We will have these in stock long before Halloween, but we have been waiting to be sure they will be flowed in and included in the assortment!
European Tikki and Plaag from the Miraculous assortment are on their way to us from Europe. Shipments from Europe have been taking 6 to 8 weeks to arrive, but we have them on the way and will have them in stock as soon as possible! These make a great addition to the Ladybug and Cat Noir pez from the original Miraculous assortment!
August 1 is the scheduled date for the new Thor to be added to the Marvel assortment. We look forward to getting these in stock sometime soon!
September 1 is the first scheduled shipping date for the new Pez Trucks. These are much like advertising trucks, but they are advertising PEZ!
September 1 is the first scheduled shipping date for the new Sing 2 Assortment to include Gunter, Ash, and Johnny.
The Game of Thrones Pez Gift Tin will begin shipping September 1 and will include Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister and the Night King in an Iron Throne gift tin.
Mandalorian mini Pez Backpack Clips are due to be released September 1 and will include mini Mandalorian and mini Baby Yoda (aka the Child, aka Grogu) pez with loops and backpack clips attached.
September 1 is the scheduled first shipping date for Christmas pez. This includes the polybag assortment with the new style Elf and the polar bear available last year only in tube, the Nutcracker in Tube, the full body Santa Christmas ornament, and the Christmas Ornament Blisters with mini Santa and mini Snowman. We will get these in stock just as soon as possible!
The Marvel Eternals are due to be released September 24, and we will have more information on these in next month’s newsletter since information can’t be shared prior to the first date the embargo is lifted for this product!
The Office Gift Tins were originally due to be released September 1, but we just learned that these will not be shipping from Pez Co. until October 1, so just a month delay! This set will include Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly in a briefcase shaped gift tin with an Office theme on the back.
The Office Pez twin packs are also delayed until October 1. The twin pack pair will include Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute in one twin pack and Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly in the second twin pack.
A sneak peek at the 2022 European Hello Kitty pez set, photo below, was provided by Pez Ghosty on PezPalzblogspot.com. We shared our photo from the Sweets and Snacks Expo last month of the Hello Kitty Puppy that will be released in the USA in 2022, but the full set to be released in Europe includes 3 dispensers. The Hello Kitty with LOVE and a picture of a puppy on the stem and the Hello Kitty with paw prints on the stem are great additions that you won’t want to miss. The 2021 Pez Head of the Year (PHOTY) was announced on Friday, July 23 during the Friday night games at Pezamania by the past PHOTYs in attendance. Due to time differences and logistics, the winner had been told that he had been chosen as PHOTY 2021 a few days in advance during a private zoom meeting with past PHOTYs. Because he was unable to attend the Pezamania Convention, arrangements were made at that time so he could accept the award over the phone in what, for him, was a midnight call! His acceptance speech was exemplary and really expressed the comradery of pez collectors worldwide!
Nenad ‘Pez Ghosty’ Markov is our first international PHOTY and the honor couldn’t have gone to a more deserving recipient. Past winners of the Pez Head of the Year award nominate, discuss and vote for the next recipient. Consideration is given to those who contribute to the promotion and betterment of the hobby in meaningful and lasting ways. It isn’t based on popularity, social media posts or followers, the size or value of the individual’s collection, but on their contributions to supporting and growing the hobby of pez collecting. Pez Ghosty is an active pez collector who travels extensively to attend conventions and gatherings and to search for pez and pez information where ever it might be found. He is the administrator and cohost of the Pez Pals blogspot where he provides accurate and timely information about upcoming European and USA pez releases and all things pez related. We share information with Nenad for his Blog and often he shares information and photos with us for the Pez Collectors Store newsletter! He is a co-host of the Vienna International Pez Convention in Austria where he makes sure that collectors of all nationalities can come together and share our wonderful hobby! He goes out of his way to welcome new collectors to the hobby and he readily shares his knowledge of PEZ history, pez items, pez licensed items and all things pez related. Please join me in congratulating Nenad ‘Pez Ghosty’ Markov, the 2021 Pez Head of the Year!
Pezamania 30ish came and went in a blur! Reported registrations were 425 and far more were in attendance! It was truly wonderful to be able to get back to a bit of normal and to meet up with other collectors who share our passion for these little pieces of plastic! There wasn’t time to see and chat with everyone to catchup on the past few years of their lives, but just being able to see them again in 3D was fantastic! As always, our hosts Rick and Sue Marlow and their support staff pulled of an awesome, fun filled event!
