Just as there are levels of collecting, there are styles of collecting. Some people collect only head variations, some may also collect stem variations, color variations, patent variations, country made in variations, IMC variations, copyright variations and on and on. Some collect only loose or only mint in bag, or mint on card or maybe one of each. Some collect only pez dispensers or only candy packs while others collect everything and anything with the word Pez on it, from licensed items to the counter display boxes and header cards to the original shipping boxes and cover sleeves. There is no right or wrong way to collect. How you collect is entirely up to you. Collect what you enjoy and enjoy your collection!
Some collectors collect for the simple enjoyment of the dispenser or pez item itself. Others collect strictly for investment and for many it is a mixture of the two! Regardless of the purpose and primary goal of your collection, be your motive simple enjoyment or pure profit, it is a good idea to learn about the hobby, to research and know the going price of any particular piece. Investment of any kind, in anything can be quite risky, particularly if you don’t know what you are doing.
