This is the month we pez collectors have all been waiting for! This is the biggest month of the year for new pez releases and the sets that we have anticipated all year will finally be coming out. There have been some surprise releases as well and more European pez have also come out! What a great time for our wonderful hobby!
The Hot Wheels Pull and Go cars were delayed for several weeks coming into Pez Co. during the importation process, so our orders were likewise delayed. These are now in stock in the Pez Collectors Store. The Green Twinduction and the Blue Fast Fish Hot Wheels pull & go cars have great speed and travel a good ways once you get the hang of it, and they make great looking dispensers, too. They attach by a twisting, lock in motion rather than magnets as were used on the Disney Cars Pull & Go dispensers. Check them out in the Pez Collectors Store!
The 2012 Flat Head Pumpkin Pez is in stock now along with the previous jack-o-lantern, the black bat, the purple haired witch and the Vampire. In our first shipment, the Witch and the Vampire are on 7.5 China stems, the bat is a 5.9 China and the two pumpkins are on 5.9 Hungary stems. All of them have the new ridged edge at the top of the stem except the Bat on the 5.9 China stem. These are in stock now in the Pez Collectors Store!
ShopRite Supermarkets has a new 2012 promotional truck. This one has the USA flag with the words 2012 Edition and the line beside the ShopRite logo says One Place. Your Place. These were rather unexpected, but our shipment is now on its way to us from ShopRite stores on the East coast. The new ShopRite Promotional Pez trucks should arrive by the end of the week.
We expected the new Ohio State Brutus Buckeye pez to begin shipping in mid-August, but once again, we are still waiting for Pez Co to ship our order. We understand how frustrating it is to be told something is going to be available then find out it isn’t really available yet. It is for this reason that we do not do presales! We don’t want to accept money for orders that we cannot fill immediately and sometimes Pez Co just is unable to ship to us at the times they indicated they would be shipping. So, as soon as these are shipped, we will have them in stock in the Pez Collectors Store!
Europe has had some new releases as well. Six different United Kingdom Football clubs (soccer to us, football to them) have new soccer balls with their logos – Arsenal is a football club based in London, England, Celtic football club is based in Glasgow, Scotland, Chelsea football club is from Fulham, London, England, Newcastle United is a football club from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, the Rangers football club is from Glasgow, Scotland, and the Tottenham Hotspur football club is from Tottenham, London, England. These teams are from the English and the Scottish Premier Leagues. These new footballs (soccer balls to us) come mint on card with the team logos and European candies. Or, for those who prefer to display loose and save on shipping, we offer the set of 6 pez loose. These are available now in the Pez Collectors Store!
European Power trucks have added two new trucks with lime green trailers to the Power truck series. The cabs are the v-grill and the small smoke stack variety cabs and the fenders are black. These new European Power trucks are shipping to us now and should be in stock in around two weeks.
The Stylish Mickey and Minnie mouse pez have just been released in Europe and are also on their way to us now. There are two different Minnie mouse pez – one with black polka-dots on red bow and one with white polka-dots on the bow and printed on the stem. Mickey is on a printed stem as well with Mickey thumbs up and Mickey head and ears stenciled on the stem. The new Mad about Minnie and Mickey pez are expected in the Pez Collectors Store in about two weeks.
Also coming to us from Europe are the Disney Cuties! We have been anxiously waiting for these to finally be released and now they are heading our way. These adorable baby faced Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto are click and play interactive dispensers. The tops twist off and can be reattached to the dispensers in the same manner as the Winnie the Pooh and Mr. Men European Click ‘n Play dispensers. We finally have word that these are shipping to us and should arrive within two weeks.
Back on the US side, September 1 is the scheduled ship date for the first release of the new gift sets. The big box pez set this year is the Star Trek the Next Generation. The Star Trek TNG is a 25th Anniversary set that features Jean-Luc Picard, William Riker, Beverly Crusher, Deanna Troi, Data, Worf, Geordi La Forge and, of course, the USS Enterprise! Saturday, September 1 is the first scheduled ship date for these sets and our first shipment is now on its way to us. We expect these to arrive by Wednesday this week.
The Limited Edition KISS gift tins will not be numbered, so it is going to be hard to tell just how limited these will be, but we will have plenty in stock and our first shipment is now on its way to us. We expect these to arrive by Wednesday this week.
Likewise, we expect Pez Co to begin shipping the Barbie Purse Gift Tins with 4 different Barbie Pez dispensers. As we have seen before, these are bust up pez dispensers. These should be arriving soon, probably by the end of the week!
While waiting for all the new releases, we have been busy adding to the Pez Collectors Store. We purchased a collection which had many items which we were out of stock on and some items we had not listed before. By clicking on the “All Products” link at the bottom of the categories on the upper left sidebar box, you can see the new listings we have added, but by clicking on the RSS feed (orange button on the right side of the top banner), you can see the 100 items which we have recently added or reactivated as well. This is a great way to check out the newest additions to our website. Of course, the New Pez category shows only the truly new pez releases that are coming soon or have recently arrived! For example, we added a bunch of Misfit trucks as well as Joe’s Trucks. The difference is in the rear wheel fender – Joe’s trucks fenders match the color of cab (black or sliver), while the misfit trucks match the color of the trailer (white or glow in the dark). Of course, they both come with either orange or red wheels!
We also added a few Walmart Employee trucks. These were supposed to be given to some of the upper level employees several years ago and they have been quite scarce for collectors.
In time for Halloween, we added a few dark blue Crystal Pumpkins on test stems and some Psych Eye pez in crystal, flesh and black as well as psych flowers!
