This Popeye A is the original version which was hand painted. The face is creamy yellow colored and the paint is quite good with only a small chip on the front right corner of the hat and a tiny bit of wear on the back left corner of the hat. Overall, one is well preserved! Popeye sits on a 2.6 Austria stem with a metal head spring and red square candy button. This is an excellent example of one of the first licensed pez produced in the late 1950s or early 60s!
