July was really busy with new pez releases and the acquisition of several pez collections. There were a number of new pez that arrived in the Pez Collectors Store from Pez Candy. The month started off with a new limited edition exclusive red, white Ducky pez on a blue stem with stars to celebrate the 4th of July, 2026. It didn’t really scream 250 years or Semiquincentennial, but at least Independence Day was honored with a special pez and they sold out quite quickly before they were retired! We have a just few of these remaining in stock.
The two new minion pez are in stock now in the Pez Collectors Store! Henry and James have joined the other minions in time for the Minions and Monsters movie that hit the theaters July 1. Henry and James are available separately so you can add either or both to your shopping cart!
The new 2026 Ghost pez looks like someone holding their arms up under a draped sheet, decorated with two big black eyes and no mouth. It is really a cute ghost! It sits on an orange stem and looks great. This pez comes in a completely clear polybag with a single pack of pez candy and an insert sheet. This 2026 Halloween Party Pack has 10 new Halloween Ghosts and 10 Jack-o-Lantern Pez individually packaged, each with a pack of Pez Candy. This makes a perfect treat for those little ghosts and goblins that come knocking, or to send to school for a party treat, or simply to add to your pez collection! With the FIFA Games well underway, Pez released two new Soccer ball Pez. The 2026 Soccer Balls or Footballs "One Team. One Dream." and "GOOOAAAAL" Limited Edition Pez are mint on cards. One soccer ball sits on a green stem with "One Team. One Dream." printed in black. The second soccer ball sits on an orange stem with the word "GOOOAAAAL" printed on the stem. These were produced for release during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Championship games but were not officially affiliated with FIFA. The pez were a limited, exclusive release and are now sold out and retired in the USA. This pez pair comes mint on cards, each with 3 packs of PEZ Candy. We have them in stock now!
Christmas in July has been a limited edition exclusive pez release for the past 3 years, first with the Summer Santa, then the Reindeer and now a Summer Snowman. Each of these have come on a similar card with the character surf boarding or paddleboarding and each pez dispenser has come wearing sunglasses and with a Hawaiian printed stem. The Summer Snowman is braving the heat wave and keeping it cool with an orange and white scarf, a red beanie cap and great sunglasses. We have only a few of these available!
We have added the 2025 European Easter Bunny Full Body Brown Rabbit Pez on Yellow Stem to the Pez Collectors Store. This Brown Rabbit was available only through European distribution and he has now made his way to our inventory!
The Expo 2025 Osaka Austria Composing the Future Hello Kitty Pez mint on card is a new addition to the Pez Collectors Store! The Expo 2025 Osaka Japan was a worldwide event where companies from countries everywhere showcase their technology, innovation and designs. The Austrian pavilion chose Composing the Future as their theme, with a nod to Mozart, and used music as a bridge between Austria and Japan. Hello Kitty, being hugely popular in Japan and PEZ, also being quite popular and based in Linz Austria was a beautiful tin-in and thus the Hello Kitty with Austria Composing the Future printed on the stem was created. It was available only at the expo from the Austrian pavilion. This highly exclusive Hello Kitty comes mint on card with pez candies.
We have added a lot of vintage and quasi-vintage pez to the Pez Collectors Store this past month and we still have more that we are working daily to get added. These are just a few examples. Please visit the vintage and quasi-vintage categories to view all our offereings!
We have added some 1990s pez to our inventory that have been out of stock – including Funky Face Pez, original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pez, DuckTales Huey, Dewey and Louie, Warner Brothers Road Runner, MGM Spike and Tuffy. Some of these are on sale right now!
We also added a lot of different Retrospect Porcelain Hinged Box Pez including the very hard to find Witch, Full Body Santa, Nurse and most of the rest of the pez that were produced.
We are looking forward to adding the new Pikachu Pez and Stitch with Sunglasses. These pez are being added to existing assortments with Pikachu being added beginning July 1 and Stitch with Sunglasses beginning August 1, so we are holding off until the old inventory is depleted to ensure we receive the newest pez. We anticipate having them available within the next month or so.
The Minecraft Giant Creeper is scheduled for release from Pez beginning September 1. Also due out at the same time is the Minecraft Chicken Jockey Twin Pack with a mini Baby Zombie Jockey pez dispenser and a mini Chicken pez dispenser. These are really quite cute! We will have them in stock in early September!
Pokemon is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2026 and a new version of the Giant Pikachu with a printed stem Celebrating 30 Years will be available beginning September 1. We will have this in stock in early September as well.
The Pokemon Gift set box with Espeon, Pikachu, Eevee and Umbreon will also begin shipping from Pez Candy September 1.
Pezamania was a lot of fun as always! One of the events that takes place on Friday night at Pezamania is the announcement of the PezHead of the Year or PHOTY. It is an honor and distinction that is truly humbling. It has been 10 years since I was named PHOTY, and I still am awed and shocked and so incredibly honored that I was chosen as the recipient for 2016. Past recipients of the PHOTY award nominate, discuss and vote for the next recipient. Consideration is given to those who contribute to the promotion and betterment of the hobby in meaningful and lasting ways. It isn’t based on popularity, social media posts or followers, the size or value of the individual’s collection, but on their contributions to supporting and growing the hobby of pez collecting. This year’s recipient is a dedicated and thoughtful pez collector who travels to attend conventions and gatherings. They are an active participant at the conventions, by lending a helping hand, giving a seminar, sharing information with others, or organizing events. Their artistic talent and creativity are off the charts and we all benefit from this! The 2026 PHOTY is one of the quietest and most unassuming individuals I know. For years, dating back to the days of the PEZHeads Email List, with help from various others, they have been the driving force in organizing after convention parties and creating fabulous party favors for all of us. This unpretentious party animal tends to try to stay in the background, but because of the impact they have on our wonderful hobby, they can’t be allowed to stand quietly on the sideline in the dark! It is time to shine a bright light on this year’s recipient. We put on our party hats (also this PHOTY’s creation), and congratulate Sue Davis, the 2026 Pez Head of the Year!
There are only a few remaining conventions and gatherings in the USA this year, so it is coming down to last call!
September 10 – 12, 2026 Pez on the River – Winona, MN Early check in is available on Thursday and room hopping gets underway throughout the day. Hosts Sandy and Cheryl Gardner-Ghionzoli host their annual early bird BBQ on the hotel patio on Thursday night with your choice of brats or hot dogs, while most attendees bring a dish to share. Room hopping continues Thursday night and all day Friday, with searches ongoing for Larry’s Friends and the Scavenger Hunt pieces. Captain’s Log Games and Charity auctions take place Friday night and Saturday’s public show is always well attended. Check out their website at www.pezontheriver.com for details and the registration information and form. There are other events happening at the hotel, so it is vital that you get your room reserved! You need to be thinking hard about your entry for the costume contest. The convention theme this year is “Spirit of 2026” and your entry needs to contain a pez dispenser in costume to reflect your interpretation of that theme. Please note, the deadline to get the convention rate for the hotel is August 1 so call and make your reservation today!!!! August 1 is also the last day to guarantee a T-shirt, or a T-shirt in the requested size, to contact the hosts with your registration information immediately!
Plans for the IN Crowd Gathering in October, almost definitely the first Saturday in October, are still up in the air. It is possible that someone may host a get together at a park picnic shelter, but nothing is definite yet. Check back on The IN. The Pezylvania XVI Gathering will take place in Kutztown, PA in October 10, 2026. All the details are available on line at https://www.pezylvania.com and registration forms can be accessed from their page. Hosts Laura Adams, Peggy Brooks and Doug Reimold are all hard at work organizing and planning for another wonderful year at this gathering in honor of Ralph Riovo, aka The Purple Cow.
